The ”Iuliu Hațieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca (UMF Cluj) is pleased to announce and invite you to the Winter School of Clinical Neurotechnology, organized within the framework of NeurotechEU. The Winter School, which is targeted to Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral students with an interest in clinical neuroscience, will take place from February 23–26, 2026, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania.

The Winter School offers an opportunity to engage with both modern and classical approaches to clinical neuroscience. Through a combination of lectures, workshops, and practical demonstrations, participants will gain valuable insights into neurological evaluation techniques and innovative neurotechnologies. The program also includes intercultural experiences and an introduction to Romanian culture.

Program Structure

Over the course of four days, the Winter School will feature:

  • Expert lectures and interactive workshops
  • Clinical demonstrations
  • Group work and case-based learning
  • Romanian language workshops
  • Intercultural activities

The program provides an introduction to clinical neuroscience through both modern and classical approaches to neurological evaluation. Participants will explore virtual neuroanatomy, learn clinical examination techniques, and engage with technologies such as EEG, Eye Tracking, and Virtual Reality.

Target Group

  • Bachelor students
  • Master students
  • PhD candidates

All target groups must be either NeurotechEU students or people employed at the University of Bonn. Candidates from other programmes of study or institutions are not eligible. Synapses participants are particularly encouraged to apply.

Selected participants receive a fully funded NeurotechEU scholarship, which will cover your expenses for travel and accommodation.

To be considered for a NeurotechEU scholarship for the Autumn School, please send the following documents to the NTEU Project Office in Bonn by the given deadline:

  • Motivation letter (max. one page)
  • CV
  • Transcript of Records of your current study program (This applies to all bachelor‘s and master‘s students)
  • Verification of your status at Uni Bonn
