From Research to Use Case: Translating Neurotechnology into Real-World Impact

The University of Bonn is pleased to announce and invite you to the NeurotechEU Business Winter School 2026, "From Research to Use Case: Translating Neurotechnology into Real-World Impact". The Winter School is organized in collaboration with Radboud University and Reykjavik University, and takes place within the framework of NeurotechEU. Targeted at advanced Master's students and PhD candidates, the Winter School will take place online from November 23-27, 2026, on-site in Bonn, Germany.

The Winter School focuses on the question “How can a neurotechnology research idea be translated into a validated use case, collaboration opportunity or innovation pathway?” and aims to connect research, entrepreneurship, industry collaboration and responsible innovation. Participants will work in international, interdisciplinary teams and develop a concrete use case based on own research ideas or provided challenges.

Program Structure

The Winter School is planned as a Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Program with

  • a preparatory virtual phase
  • one physical week in Bonn, Germany
  • a short virtual follow-up session 

Target Group

We welcome applications from the University of Bonn and its affiliated partners (UKB, DZNE and MPINB) who are…

  • advanced Master students
  • PhD candidates

Applicants should have a background in neurotechnology, neuroscience, AI, biomedical engineering, medicine, rehabilitation, data science, psychology, computer vision or related fields.

How can you apply?

There is no participation fee but places are limited. 

To apply, University of Bonn applicants are asked to submit the following documents:

  • Motivation letter
  • CV
  • Transcript of Records (Master’s students only)
  • Proof of enrolment or employment at the University of Bonn or at one of its affiliated partners (UKB, DZNE and MPINB)
